As the designer of this project, DY is also responsible for providing Construction Management and Inspection services for the rehabilitation of Taxiway L at the Westchester County Airport. Taxiway L is the parallel runway to the primary runway 16-34, primarily used by corporate tenants, which includes the most demanding aircraft, the B-737. The project involves the demolition of the bituminous pavement, the installation of new bituminous pavement, the replacement of the edge lighting and signing system and modifications within the vault room. DY is working very closely with the County of Westchester’s Engineering Department in overseeing the construction with special attention to minimizing disruption to the operations for this commercial service airport, with an elaborate phasing plan.
