Project Info

Project Description

DY Consultants was tasked with providing a variety of professional consulting services with the purpose of improving the Runway Safety Areas (RSA) for Runway 4L-22R. The project involved the development of initial alternatives followed by an evaluation and selection process which led to the selection of the preferred alternative, through stakeholder involvement and the establishment of a series of criteria. The benefits of the proposed improvements were modeled and simulated and a Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA) was developed following FAA guidelines. The project included collaboration and engagement between the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the FAA, and major airlines operating at JFK.
